Judge Denies Univ. Of Maryland's Motion To Throw Out ACC Suit
A North Carolina judge yesterday refused a motion by the Univ. of Maryland to "drop a lawsuit filed by the ACC in November" over UM's $52M exit fee. Guilford County Superior Court Judge John Craig III denied the motion, which claimed that the "ACC suit was invalid." David Paulson, a spokesperson for Maryland Attorney General Douglas Gansler, said the state is "going to be considering its options in light of this ruling." The UM attorneys have 30 days to appeal (Baltimore SUN, 2/19).
