Sources: T'Wolves No. 1 Pick Anthony Edwards Signing With Adidas

T'Wolves G Anthony Edwards, the No. 1 overall pick in the '20 NBA Draft, is "signing a shoe endorsement deal with Adidas," according to sources cited by The Athletic's Shams Charania (TWITTER.com, 12/27). The Atlanta native joins a "star-studded group of basketball players at Adidas," including Hawks G Trae Young, who recently announced he was launching a signature shoe next year. Edwards and Young both are represented by Omar Wilkes of Klutch Sports Group. Edwards and Hornets G LaMelo Ball, the No. 3 overall pick in the '20 draft, reportedly are the "only two rookies" from this year's class to "sign sneaker deals this year" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 12/28).

NEW BALANCE BOLSTERS NBA ROSTER: 247SPORTS.com's Chris Fisher noted Nuggets G Jamal Murray, a former Adidas athlete, has "inked a multi-year shoe deal with New Balance." Murray said that the launch of his new signature New Balance shoe is "coming in 2021." New Balance's current NBA roster includes Clippers F Kawhi Leonard, Thunder F Darius Bazley and Spurs G Dejounte Murray (247SPORTS.com, 12/27).
