Babe Ruth League Launches K-Motion Swing Analysis App

K-Motion, the maker of wearable vests that track biomechanics, has partnered with the Babe Ruth League to create a swing analysis app for more than a million youth baseball and softball players.

Hitters can upload a video taken by a smartphone to the Babe Ruth League Personal Swing Coach App and receive a five-point assessment of their mechanics. A K-Motion swing coach will provide detailed feedback that includes a 30-day personalized training program and video instruction drills pertinent to a player’s needs. After a free trial period, Babe Ruth League players can continue using the app by subscribing to a membership.

K-Motion wearable tech is used by 25 MLB organizations and numerous elite college baseball programs to objectively track a user’s kinematic sequence—the ordered movements that produce force. Originally developed for golf, K-Motion is used extensively in that sport as well as in hockey, fitness and physical therapy.
