Former NHLer Offers Affordable Hockey Equipment With New Brand

Former NHLer Andy Sutton's "latest post-playing venture" sees him "launching his own hockey equipment brand," Verbero Hockey, according to Derek Van Diest of the NATIONAL POST. Verbero specializes in "high-end products at affordable prices by dealing directly" with customers, and making hockey equipment more affordable is one of its "fundamental principles." The equipment is "brought to market through an on-demand web-based, team-store platform." Vebero's line includes a "state-of-the-art stick," the Mercury V350, which Sutton has "tested himself." It was launched this spring and is being promoted as the "lightest hockey stick on the market." Verbero also is producing a "high-end skate" along with "other protective gear, which includes goaltender equipment." The company also will "create custom apparel for teams and associations" (NATIONAL POST, 10/30).
