Clear Adds LabCorp COVID-19 Test Results to Health Pass

Clear, the biometric ID company with check-in kiosks at airports and major sports stadiums, has added COVID-19 test results from LabCorp to its mobile app.

In May, Clear launched a new feature on its app called Health Pass that allows businesses to screen consumers and employees for coronavirus by having them upload a photo to confirm their ID and other personal health documents. A QR code could be scanned to prove that they had recently received a negative COVID-19 test result. 

Now, Health Pass users can securely link their LapCorp test results to the system so that it automatically updates. Linking the two makes rapid testing more efficient and feasible, enabling people to be tested more quickly and often.

The NHL recently used Clear pods and Health Pass during its playoff bubbles in Toronto and Edmonton, where players and staff were tested daily.
