Boston's "The Sports Hub" Leads Over WEEI In Summer Ratings Book

Boston's WBZ-FM "The Sports Hub" was able to "finish first" in the targeted men 25-54 demographic from the period of June 18-Sept. 9, while WEEI-FM was tied for eighth, according to Chad Finn of the BOSTON GLOBE. WEEI’s number includes its online stream, as well as the "share it gets" from Providence-based WVEI-FM. Without that data included, flagship station WEEI "would have been ninth." The Sports Hub's finish in the top spot is "impressive considering the Bruins and Celtics, whose game broadcasts air on The Sports Hub, did not play for approximately half of the summer book while sports were shut down because of COVID-19." The Sports Hub also is the radio home of the Patriots, while WEEI has the Red Sox. In morning drive, The Sports Hub's “Toucher & Rich” show "was first." And in middays, Sports Hub’s “Zolak & Bertrand” show "took first," while WEEI’s “Dale and Keefe” show "was seventh." In the spring, The Sports Hub was first, while WEEI was eighth (BOSTON GLOBE, 10/2).
