Boston's The Sports Hub Tops WEEI In Spring Radio Ratings

Boston's WBZ-FM "The Sports Hub" beat WEEI-FM in the spring Nielsen ratings, which "mostly coincided with the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic that affected listeners' habits," according to Chad Finn of the BOSTON GLOBE. WBZ finished first in the "targeted men 25-54 demographic from the period of March 26-June 17," while WEEI finished eighth. WEEI's number "includes its online stream and the share it gets" from Providence-based WVEI-FM in the Boston market. Without that data included, flagship station WEEI "would have tied WGBH for eighth." WBZ's online stream is "included in its share." The station's "Toucher & Rich" show was first in the morning drive and its "Zolak & Bertrand" show took first in middays, while WEEI's "Dale and Keefe" was seventh. Last spring, WBZ came in "first place, while WEEI was fourth" (BOSTON GLOBE, 7/9).
