DoorDash Signs Multiyear Deal With Bubba Wallace, No. 43 Car

Sponsorship opportunities continue to present themselves to NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace and his No. 43 RPM Chevy, as he announced DoorDash has signed a multiyear deal with the team. DoorDash will serve as the primary sponsor for seven races this season, with branding on the car during all other races. Wallace said the food delivery service "has been great to work with so far" and expressed his excitement to "brainstorm and get some things rolling in those communities just to make real change." The DoorDash deal comes after recently signing new personal endorsement deals with Columbia Sportswear and Beats by Dre, and Wallace said, "These last couple of weeks we announced a lot of new partnerships. ... I'm just a walking ambassador right now, and I love it. I'm very thankful for all these companies and organizations to want to be a part of this journey." He tried to explain why he was attractive to companies, saying, "I always try to be myself, carry my heart on my sleeve and represent the person that I am every day, on and off the race track and on and off the camera. Speaking about things that are not right in this world and how we can make this a better place for our next generation is very important, and companies are paying attention to that. They want to be a part of that change" (“Today,” NBC, 8/14). Leverage Agency helped broker the deal, while Pro Sport Management represents Wallace (Adam Stern, THE DAILY).
