Many of the Broncos wore shirts that read: “If You Ain’t With Us, You Against Us.” Miller told the thousands of people in attendance, “I’m proud of Denver. I’m proud of the state of Colorado. PGA Tour golf returned on June 11 at the Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas. The event is being held without fans and with social distancing guidelines for players and caddies because of the coronavirus pandemic. On Thurs., June 11, a mural of former Sydney Swans player Adam Goodes was painted on the side of a building in Surry Hills, less than a mile from the Swans’ home, the Sydney Cricket Ground. Goodes won the AFL’s Brownlow Medal, effectively the same as being named league MVP, twice in his career. He is of Aboriginal descent, and after he began to speak up about racism in the game in 2013, he suffered sustained abuse from fans that forced him to retire in 2015. The AFL and its clubs issued an apology for the treatment he received in 2019. (Ryan Pierse/Getty Images)

After being suspended by the coronavirus pandemic, Germany’s Basketball Bundesliga restarted on June 6 in a tournament (rather than season) format. Only 10 of the league’s 17 teams are playing in the season-ending tournament, with some clubs opting not to continue this year. Players are wearing Kinexon sensors to monitor their proximity while in hotels. The Australian Football League’s West Coast Eagles relocated from Perth, on the country’s West Coast, to Gold Coast, on the east, yesterday. Because of 14-day quarantine rules imposed by Western Australia, the Eagles needed to move their home base in order to restart the league’s season. Like the NRL’s New Zealand Warriors, the Eagles offer an example of what NBA and MLS teams might experience as their leagues resume competition. (Chris Hyde/Getty Images)

The PGA Tour resumed play at the Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas on Thurs., June 11, but a new startup golf circuit, the 2020protour, returned on Mon., June 8. The 2020protour includes both male and female golfers competing against each other, with the only modification being that women play a course 11% shorter than the men’s tees. The field includes Scottish player Carly Booth (above), who has multiple wins on the Ladies European Tour. (Ross Kinnaird/Getty Images)

United Arab Emirates cricket players returned to training at the ICC Academy in Dubai this week with a range of restrictions added to reduce the risk of coronavirus transmission, including disinfecting the cricket ball. The Australian Football League restarted its 2020 season on June 11 with a game between Collingwood and Richmond at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. When the coronavirus shut down the sport, just one week of games had been completed. Collingwood and Richmond tied with 5.6 (37) each, the first tie between the two teams in more than a century. The M.C.G., which can accommodate 100,000 spectators, was closed to fans.
