LeBron James' Uninterrupted Produces Quibi Series On '17 Astros

A new docu-series on Quibi called "Sign Language" -- produced by LeBron James' Uninterrupted with insight from CC Sabathia -- tracks the '17 Astros and the continued ripple effects of their cheating saga," according to Bradford William Davis of the N.Y. DAILY NEWS. Uninterrupted "hasn't announced a release date for 'Sign Language'" on the fledgling short-form video outlet (N.Y. DAILY NEWS, 5/16). VARIETY's Will Thorne notes the Astros' cheating scandal "has gone down in baseball infamy." The Quibi series "intends to leverage" Uninterrupted’s podcast "R2C2" with former MLBer Sabathia and Ryan Ruocco. It also "hails from investigative filmmaking company The Cinemart, which last year released the Hulu doc 'Fyre Fraud' about the infamous Fyre Festival" (VARIETY.com, 5/15).
