ESPN Following "Last Dance" With Film On Game 6 Of '98 Finals

ESPN still has "one more program to show" about the Bulls' sixth championship, as the net will air "Game 6: The Movie" on Wednesday night at 9:00pm ET, according to Joe Reedy of the AP. The film, which will follow a rebroadcast of episodes 9 and 10 of "The Last Dance," will "feature game footage captured by five NBA Entertainment cameras and marks the first time that the game has been available to watch in high-definition." Exec producer Gregg Winik said that the "brainstorming about Game 6 started by compiling the last 40 seconds" of the Bulls-Jazz contest for the final episode of "The Last Dance." After Winik and his team "were able to do that, it started to expand into a project of its own." ESPN Exec VP/Content Connor Schell said that there were "conversations about showing the original NBC broadcast, until discussions revolved around an enhanced presentation" (AP, 5/18).
