New Interactive Feature Available At Arkansas' Hall Of Honor

Visitors can play videos and search hall inductees at three "phone control" stationsadvent

The Univ. of Arkansas earlier this year unveiled an interactive installation at its Hall of Honor in Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium, which allows visitors to use their smartphone to scan a QR code on a digital screen to access information and video content about hall inductees of the various sports sponsored by the university. The installation, developed by Nashville-based experience creation firm Advent, gives visitors the ability to control the preset content displayed on the digital screen without downloading an application at three "phone control" stations, where they can play videos and search hall inductees. The technology works off on an application developed by the company and existing video LED boards at the hall, Advent VP/Experience John Downie said. The installation is a way to create a meaningful and active fan engagement experience, at scale, off the hall’s existing infrastructure, on a modest budget, Downie said.  Arkansas can also collect data on what kind of content is being accessed the most and least and adjust its programming, Downie added.
