Octagon Promotes John Shea To Lead Global Marketing Efforts

Shea has handled domestic responsibilities for Octagon since '16OCTAGON

Some shifting at Octagon sees JOHN SHEA promoted to Global President of Marketing & Events, giving him responsibilities across the Interpublic Group sports and entertainment agency's 50 offices that are spread out over 22 countries. Shea, who continues to report to Octagon Chair & CEO RICK DUDLEY, has handled domestic responsibilities as President of Marketing & Events/North America for Octagon since '16. He has been with the agency since '94. Shea's promotion means that LOU KOVACS has been elevated from Exec VP & CMO/North America to President of Marketing & Events/North America, reporting to Shea. Elsewhere, Senior VP JEFF MEESON has been promoted to Managing Dir of Europe; AYKAN AZAR moves from Managing Dir of Southeast Asia to Managing Dir of Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa. BEN HARTMAN is moving from Managing Dir of Asia Pacific, to Chief Client Officer/Int’l, based in Sydney.
