Visa Global Sponsorship Head Kate Johnson Leaving For Google

Visa Head of Global Sponsorship Marketing KATE JOHNSON has accepted a newly created position at Google, where she will build and lead a division overseeing global partnerships in content and sports media. "I'm excited about the influence I can have there to help a major company take on this space in an authentic and meaningful way," she said. Johnson, a '17 SBJ "Forty Under 40" honoree and '04 Olympic Silver Medal-winning rower, has spent more than six years at Visa. She oversaw renewals to long-term deals with the IOC and the NFL and made changes to its Olympic athlete sponsorship program. She will start at Google in January. Today is her last day at Visa.
