Fans Show Up In Force For Golden Knights' Holiday Sale

The Golden Knights held a "Gold Friday" sale over the holiday weekend at their practice center, and hundreds of fans "flocked to The Arsenal at City National Arena on Black Friday morning," according to Subrina Hudson of the LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL. The "most coveted item" was a poster of G Marc-Andre Fleury's save against the Maple Leafs last week, with "only 450 numbered copies selling for $55 each." The retail shop opened its doors at 8:00am PT, and "after a little over two hours the posters were sold out." Of the newest items, the "favorite picks among shoppers have been pajamas, robes, flashing lanyards, 'ugly' holiday sweaters" and Golden Knights-themed children and adult bikes (LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL, 11/30). In Las Vegas, Alan Snel wrote the Golden Knights brand was in "full bloom" Friday, when "more than 500 fans waited to get into the VGK team store." The first fans arrived at 3:00am (LVSPORTSBIZ.com, 11/29).

THAT'S THE TICKET: Snel noted the Golden Knights last week rolled out a "holiday ticket deal" for $350 to pay for a three-game package -- plus two college hockey games at the Fortress Invitational, and $25 team store gift card for fans on a season ticket wait list. The team calls the list the "Can't Wait List." The package includes a ticket to "two college hockey tournament games at T-Mobile Arena in early January." If the three-game ticket packs are "still available following the exclusive presale for Can't Wait List members, they will be made available to the general public at a later date" (LVSPORTSBIZ.com, 11/26).
