A-B InBev's Joao Chueiri Leaving Sports Portfolio For New Position

A-B InBev VP/Marketing JOAO CHUEIRI, who has been directing the brewer's extensive domestic sports and entertainment marketing efforts for the past 2.5 years, is moving to VP/Marketing for Beyond Beer. In that newly created position, Chueiri will oversee marketing for A-B InBev's growing portfolio of non-beer products, including non-alcoholic beverages, the fast-growing hard seltzer category, wine, and spirits. A-B InBev earlier this year acquired Cutwater Spirits, its first U.S. distillery. No replacement has been named. VP/Partnerships, Beer Culture & Community NICK KELLY will direct sports and entertainment, now reporting directly to U.S. CMO MARCEL MARCONDES. During Chueiri's time heading A-B InBev's "Connections," the company implemented a much-ballyhooed incentive-based sponsorship program across its music and sports portfolio and established the Super Bowl Music Fest last year in Atlanta.
