Marketplace Roundup

In Boston, Catherine Carlock noted Reebok is "streamlining its logo across all products starting next year." Rather than its red Delta symbol, Reebok will now "brand all products with a Vector symbol and 'drop-R' that previously has been reserved for Reebok's Classics and lifestyle-focused products." The new logo has been "installed outside the company's 220,000-square-foot headquarters at Boston's Innovation and Design Building." The Vector logo was first introduced in '92, with the red Delta logo following in '11. The Delta still will appear on CrossFit and UFC-branded Reebok apparel (BIZJOURNALS.com, 11/7).

HITTING THE ICE: Budweiser Canada has signed on as a "major sponsor" of the Professional Women's Hockey Players Association, the group "fighting for a sustainable, viable professional women's league." The PWHPA has "already received support or partnered" with Adidas, Secret, Dunkin' and the NHLPA, among other organizations. The players are "hoping that the latest major sponsor leads to other companies supporting the PWHPA" (DKPITTSBURGHSPORTS.com, 11/7).

PULLING THE LEVER: Harrah's Cherokee Casino has reached a "five-year partnership" with the Panthers that will "make the casino an official sponsor of the NFL team." Harrah's Cherokee Regional VP/Marketing Brian Saunooke said the sponsorship will be "most visible" through broadcast TV and radio. The casino also has landed naming rights for the Panthers Champions Village and will sponsor the team's 5th Quarter postgame show on the Silver Club Level at Bank of America Stadium (Cherokee ONE FEATHER, 11/5).
