QBE Signs Extension As Title Sponsor For Greg Norman Event

Greg Norman and QBE Insurance signed a "three-year extension" to keep the company as title sponsor for the QBE Shootout through '22, according to Greg Hardwig of the NAPLES DAILY NEWS. The 12-team event also will be "staying at Tiburon Golf Club at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort for three more years." The tournament has been played there since '01. The partnership between Norman's PGA Tour event and QBE had a "notable and unexpected beginning, with the first tournament together three months after Hurricane Irma hit Southwest Florida" in September '17. QBE "immediately jumped in and announced the creation of a relief fund and that it would match any donations made by employees." The company's "philanthropy will continue" under the extension. QBE North America President of Field Operations Mark Cantin said that "charitable dollars to lead charities CureSearch for Children's Cancer and Wounded Warriors Project will be doubled" (NAPLES DAILY NEWS, 10/30).

JUMPING ON THE TREND: GOLF.com's Dylan Dethier noted Norman is "launching a line of CBD products geared toward men and women who lead an active lifestyle." The collection will be "made from CBD derived from hemp plus ingredients" from Norman's native Australia. Norman's CBD items "come as part of a partnership with Green Growth Brands" (GOLF.com, 10/29).
