Volleyball Promoter Drops Lawsuit Against Kerri Walsh Jennings' P1440

Longtime beach volleyball promoter LEONARD ARMATO has withdrawn his lawsuits against p1440, the volleyball startup founded by KERRI WALSH JENNINGS and others. He had accused the startup of not paying for his services and stealing his ideas. Armato withdrew his suits before p1440 or its primary capital backer, DAVE MAYS, officially answered the complaint. The Facebook page owned by the now-defunct World Series of Beach Volleyball, which Armato controls, now includes a statement reading: “Dismissals of those lawsuits have been filed and the allegations withdrawn. I’d like to thank p1440, its founders and Dave for the professionalism and integrity they showed in the process… I understand p1440 was created from the original ideas of its founders.” Armato declined further comment.
