Lowe's Expands Deal With Panthers, Gets Entrance Gate Signage

Lowe's has been a sponsor of the Panthers through much of the NFL team's 25-year historyERIK SPANBERG

Lowe's has signed an "expanded sponsorship agreement" with the NFL Panthers that includes a branded entrance gate at Bank of America Stadium, according to Erik Spanberg of the CHARLOTTE BUSINESS JOURNAL. The home improvement chain has sponsored the team "through much of its 25-year history," including signing on as the presenting sponsor of Panthers' training camp in '15. That component of the partnership "seems to have lapsed because the team website includes no mention of Lowe's on its training camp page." Lowe's earlier this year signed on to become an official NFL sponsor. While Lowe's is extending its deal with the Panthers, the team has had a "busy off-season with sponsorships." Coca-Cola replaced PepsiCo as the pouring-rights holder at Bank of America Stadium, while Atrium Health replaced Pepsi as the team's practice jersey sponsor as part of the health-care provider's expanded deal with the team (BIZJOURNALS.com, 8/9).
