FanDuel Signs Deal To Bring Betting Content To OTT Service FuboTV

FanDuel continued the trend of sportsbooks tying to media companies today, announcing a deal that will make bring its sports betting content and horse racing network TVG to sports-centric OTT platform fuboTV. A related media buy gives FanDuel brands advertising exclusivity on the streaming service in the sportsbook, daily fantasy, online casino and horse racing categories. TVG gains distribution as part of fuboTV’s 90-channel base package. Its TVG2 channel joins the service’s premium sports tier. Though primarily a horse racing simulcast network, TVG also airs the sports and DFS-focused sports pregame show “More Ways to Win” on Wednesdays and Fridays on TVG2. It aired Sunday mornings on TVG during the NFL season. Launched in '15 as a streaming service targeting soccer fans, the network has since expanded to chase a broader set of cord cutters, adding FS1, NBCSN, NFL Network and NBA TV to attract sports fans. In February, it announced a distribution deal for 20 Viacom channels, dramatically expanding its entertainment offering. The service reported that it was nearing 250,000 subscribers late last year, up from 100,000 in '17. Still notably missing from fuboTV’s lineup: The entire suite of ESPN, ABC and Disney channels.
