Interest Growing For Naming Rights To Plaza Outside Fiserv Forum

Added fan engagement with the Bucks in the Playoffs led to more interest in finding a naming-rights partnerBUCKS

The Bucks are "actively searching" for a naming-rights sponsor for the plaza outside Fiserv Forum, according to Nick Williams of the MILWAUKEE BUSINESS JOURNAL. Bucks Senior VP/Business Development & Strategy Matt Pazaras said that with thousands of people visiting the plaza over the past few weeks with the team in the NBA Playoffs, "interest is growing" in a naming-rights sponsor. Pazaras said that the team "always intended on selling the naming rights to the plaza" and that terms "would probably be a 10-year deal." He "wouldn't disclose a targeted monetary figure for the deal." However, Pazaras said the plaza is "one of our most visible and iconic pieces of inventory." He added that the Bucks have "already had discussions with their current partners regarding the plaza naming rights opportunity." Pazaras said that the ideal company to own the plaza name "would have operations in Milwaukee, but also operations outside of the region." Williams noted with Fiserv Forum being the main facility used for the Democratic National Convention in '20, the media exposure "would be on a global scale" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 4/29).
