Bucks Offer Unique Away-Game Experience During Playoff Run

Fans can watch games on a 20-foot-wide screen in the plaza or a 28-foot-wide screen in The Beer GardenBUCKS

The Bucks during playoff away games have "created a full game-time experience" in The Beer Garden and plaza outside Fiserv Forum, according to Jordyn Noennig of the MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL. Fans can "watch the game on a 20-foot-wide screen in the plaza or a 28-foot-wide screen in The Beer Garden." Around the plaza are "alcohol, food and apparel vendors." The Bucks had "about 100 people working" in those areas on April 20. The outdoor screens were "set up for the beginning" of the Bucks-Pistons series on April 14, but the "turnout outdoors for the first two games, which were played at Fiserv Forum, were a little underwhelming with snow and cold weather." Bucks CMO Dustin Godsey said, "We've seen the full gamut of things. What we saw in these last two road games was beyond our expectations of people coming down. Weather was the only hiccup, and we saw it all from snow to sun to storms." He added that some things "will be improved for future games as they watched how crowds in the entertainment block reacted the first playoff series." Godsey said that vendors will be added, and others will be "moved to better accommodate where crowds were congregating in the first series, and signage will be improved as well." The Bucks-owned bar Mecca, "set to open May 3, will create another game-watching opportunity in Fiserv Forum's entertainment block" (MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, 4/27).
