USTA's Billie Jean King Tennis Center Hosting Fortnite Finals

The inaugural Fortnite World Cup Finals will take place at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in N.Y. from July 26-28, Epic Games and Endeavor announced today. The companies launched pre-registration today for fans interested in buying tickets when they go on sale. Tickets start at $50 for a three-day pass. The event will feature a $30M prize pool, with the champion individual player taking home at least $3M. The competition will include the top 100 solo players and top 50 duos teams. Endeavor, an advisor to Epic, is overseeing logistics and operations. Actual competition will take place in Arthur Ashe Stadium, but the surrounding grounds of the tennis center will be “transformed into a Fortnite environment,” a statement reads. USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center COO Danny Zausner said, "We look forward to playing a role in this cultural sensation, with the chance to showcase the National Tennis Center in an entirely new way."
