You Can See Me: John Cena Remains WWE's Most Recognizable Star

John Cena currently is not slated to make an appearance at WrestleMania 35, which is being held Sunday night at MetLife Stadium, but he remains the most well-known and recognizable WWE star, according to The Marketing Arm's Celebrity DBI. Eighty-one percent of respondents to The Marketing Arm's survey through Feb. 28 recognized Cena by name and face. He also scored a 76 in the “Appeal” attribute -- a weighted score based on how the 1,000 respondents rated the wrestler in that specific attribute. The respondents were presented with the name and face of a celebrity and asked if they are aware of the individual. Respondents who indicate that they are aware of the celebrity are then asked a set of questions about that celebrity, using a 6-point scale to record their responses. The Celebrity DBI is an independent index for brand marketers and agencies that determines a celebrity’s ability to influence brand affinity and consumer purchase intent. The study tracks more than 4,500 celebrities and within a 4.5 million domestic consumer research panel. The overall DBI score is a weighted average using awareness and the other seven measured attributes. Listed here are the ten highest-ranked WWE celebrities, according to data provided to SBJ by DBI.
