Las Vegas-based R&R Partners Exec VP Rob Dondero said that the NFL "will not accept a TV commercial promoting Las Vegas if it includes the Strip," though he added that the league will allow them to "include Red Rock." In Las Vegas, Alan Snel wrote banning the Strip from ads "seems silly when you consider Las Vegas -- and probably venues along or near the Strip -- will host" the '20 NFL Draft, and the Raiders' stadium is "being built a 15-minute walk" away (LVSPORTSBIZ.com, 2/27).

PALM BEACH PROMO: Golfer Dustin Johnson was spotted "posing for pictures at an event for Swiss watchmaker Hublot" in Palm Beach on Tuesday. Johnson is an "ambassador for the brand," and partnered with the watchmaker to "create the Big Band Unico Golf watch" that was introduced in '17 (PALM BEACH DAILY NEWS, 2/28).

DIVERSIFYING THE PORTFOLIO: The American Ultimate Disc League announced a partnership with Tiger Balm, its "first sponsorship deal with a company that isn't connected to an owner or equipment maker." AUDL co-Founder & Owner Rob Lloyd said that two more deals "will be announced soon." Lloyd: "We have a fresh sport that stands out. This may appeal to sponsors who want to appeal to a different lifestyle than the current team sports" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 2/27).
