Super Bowl Licensees Roll Out Wide Variety Of Big Game Products

NFL licensees and retailers are stocking and shipping prior to Super Bowl LIII. Aramark will administer 75 retail locations -- including 28 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. That includes hotels in Atlanta and within the Super Bowl Experience fan fest at the Georgia World Congress Center. Aramark Sports & Entertainment VP/West Region & National Retail Operations Danielle Lazor noted that there will be two stores this year; the largest at 29,000 square feet is on the floor of the GWCC. NFL Senior VP/Head of Licensing & Consumer Products Michelle Micone described the NFL Shop presented by Visa store as having the “largest assortment of Super Bowl LIII merchandise on the planet, with more than 60% of product offerings exclusive.” As always, exclusive on-field cap rightsholder New Era will release a number of new models, notably a $5,300 woman's cap festooned with sapphires and rubies and designed by the daughter of rapper Lil Wayne. That cap is limited to just 10 units. Another striking new product is Game Time’s LED clocks, complementing its usual offering of watches. Micone said there are more customized and on-demand products than ever at the store, including Build-a-Bear “stuffing stations” that offer both exclusive Super Bowl plush and matching logoed apparel. Other licensees with on-site customization include Under Armour; Levi’s; For Bare Feet; blankets from The Northwest; and Junk Food, which will be screen-printing Super Bowl T-shirts.

THANKS FOR THE VINE: With Super Bowl apparel rights for the first time, Vineyard Vines is stepping up with a range of prep Ts, polos, fleece vests and jackets. Staff at NFL House will also be garbed in Vineyard Vines. Micone added that the shop is carrying the largest selection of big and tall apparel ever, including items from Mitchell & Ness. Those fatigued by shopping may want to sample the high-end massage chairs with NFL indicia, which range from $1,100-2,200. Another high-end offering is Rock On Sports' Swarovski Crystal-encrusted footballs ($5,000) and helmets ($8,000). Fanatics’ hot-market rights include exclusives on the Super Bowl locker-room and other assorted championship T-shirts, along with the championship podium jacket.
