YAHOO SPORTS' Kyle Cantlon noted the Flyers partnered with Simon's Heart, an organization that focuses on preventing sudden cardiac arrest, and its "GotAED" initiative to "offer a promotional giveaway" of an Automated External Defibrillator. When Flames-Flyers on Saturday went into OT, the Flyers tweeted a graphic promoting the "GotAED Overtime Challenge," that read, "A win in sudden death means an automated external defibrillator will go to St. Monica School." OT in the NHL is "widely known as 'Sudden death overtime.'" Many "different kinds of heart conditions can attack and kill on a whim -- they can end your life very suddenly, if you will" (SPORTS.YAHOO.com, 1/6).

He's been in the league forever. How is he still the No. 1 selling jersey?” (“Loud Mouths,” SNY, 1/4).

STRONG ENDORSEMENT: Italian sports apparel brand ellesse signed tennis player Johanna Konta, the British No. 1 and a '17 Wimbledon semifinalist, to an endorsement deal (TENNISNOW.com, 1/4).
