Ninja Hosting Live Stream Event From Times Square On NYE

Twitch streamer Tyler "Ninja" Blevins will "host a 12-hour rocking party" from Times Square on New Year's Eve, and as the final seconds of '18 count down, Blevins will be "streaming from the third floor of the Paramount Building," according to Ben Strauss of the WASHINGTON POST. The Fortnite streaming event will be a "fitting end to a year in which video gaming has grown far beyond a niche curiosity." Just as on "traditional network TV broadcasts, special guests will show up and hang with Blevins" at his event. He would not share guests' names, but said that there will be "lots of Fortnite." Blevins: "And we will definitely do something with the ball." Strauss notes Blevins "hopes for 1 million live viewers on his stream at midnight on the East Coast" (WASHINGTONPOST.com, 12/28).
