Twitter promoted Head of U.S. Sports League Partnerships TJ ADESHOLA to Head of U.S. Sports as the company fills some "key roles in its reorganized content partnerships group in the U.S." Adeshola will "lead all U.S. sports partnerships at Twitter, after spending the previous few years managing Twitter’s partnerships with major U.S. sports leagues, including the NFL and the NBA." Before joining Twitter in '12, he "worked on ESPN’s digital sales and marketing team" (VARIETY.com, 7/30).

EXECS: NFL Jets Senior Dir of Team Operations CLAY HAMPTON was "dismissed" last month after serving in the role since '06. The move is "surprising" since Hampton's late father, BILL, was team equipment manager from '64-'00 (ESPN.com, 7/28)....Southern Illinois Univ. named JEFF JONES Associate AD/Internal Operations (SIU)....The Minnesota-based Mayo Clinic named former Minnesota Super Bowl Host Committee CEO MAUREEN BAUSCH interim "top marketing exec." The Mayo Clinic had a presence at Mall of America during Bausch's tenure and also was a "sponsor of the Super Bowl" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 7/27)....Actor MANSAI NOMURA will be Chief Exec Creative Dir for the Opening and Closing Ceremony at the '20 Tokyo Games. Tokyo 2020 also named film director TAKASHI YAMAZAKI Exec Creative Dir for the "two Olympic ceremonies, and HIROSHI SASAKI in the "same role for the Paralympic events" (AP, 7/30).
