Senators Make Latest Front Office Hire With Aimee Deziel As CMO

The Senators have hired Momentous Advertising & Design COO AIMEE DEZIEL as CMO, having already "resolved a legal matter with a previous CMO," according to Wayne Scanlan of the OTTAWA CITIZEN. This is the "second major front office hire by the Senators in the past two months." In late May, the club brought in NICOLAS RUSZKOWSKI as COO. The challenge now will be to market the Senators, who "could use a PR boost after a difficult off-season" with several "off-ice issues hanging over the team." Deziel was already a Senators season-ticket holder and "suite occupant." Her arrival "helps close a chapter in the Senators front office." Early last year, former CMO PETER O'LEARY filed a C$1.55M "lawsuit against the Senators" and Owner EUGENE MELNYK. O’Leary’s lawyer, JANICE PAYNE, confirmed that the matter "has been resolved" (OTTAWA CITIZEN, 7/25).
