Capitals GM BRIAN MACLELLAN has "signed a multiyear contract extension," which "provides some organizational stability" for the club (WASHINGTONPOST.com, 3/9)....The NCAA D-I Men's Basketball Committee named Atlantic 10 Commissioner BERNADETTE MCGLADE and Bradley AD CHRIS REYNOLDS to five-year terms with the group, effective Sept. 1 (A-10)....USL club Louisville City COO STEVE LIVINGSTONE, who took on the role last July, "will shift to a short-term consulting role for the soccer club" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 3/9)....The Cubs named former MLBer CHRIS DENORFIA Special Assistant to the President/GM and former MLBer MATT MURTON Baseball Operations Assistant. The club also promoted VIJAY TEKCHANDANI to Dir of Team Travel & Clubhouse Operations (Cubs)....Univ. of Nebraska AD BILL MOOS has restructured the athletic department's senior leadership. Deputy AD BOB BURTON will add the title of Chief of Staff, while Deputy AD & CFO JOHN JENTZ will retain both roles. Deputy AD and Senior Woman Administrator PAT LOGSDON will keep her roles, and also will serve as a member of the Big Ten Sports Management Committee. The three other NU execs at the senior level will continue to be Exec Associate AD/External Operations MARC BOEHM, Exec Associate AD/Academics DENNIS LEBLANC and Exec Associate AD/Compliance JAMIE VAUGHN (NU)....The Athletic named SportTechie Managing Editor DIAMOND LEUNG Senior Editor for its N.Y. site (TWITTER.com, 3/9)....Esports organization FlyQuest Sports named TRICIA SUGITA COO. Sugita was previously Head of Partnerships with esports outfit Immortals and its Overwatch League team, the L.A. Valiant (FlyQuest).
