Super Bowl Names: Kevin Hart Denied In Bid To Join Celebration

KEVIN HART following Super Bowl LII last night was seen during the presentation of the Vince Lombardi Trophy "speaking to security as the trophy was being carried up to the podium." Hart, a Philadelphia native, later "popped up" on NFL Network's "NFL GameDay," where he "noted that he had 'started the celebration early' and even dropped the F-bomb" (HOLLYWOODREPORTER.com, 2/4). Other celebrities at the game included JENNIFER LOPEZALEX RODRIGUEZBRADLEY COOPERGWEN STEFANIBLAKE SHELTONSTEPHEN CURRYDIDDYJOE BIDEN and TIFFANY HADDISH (AP, 2/4). Curry was seen wearing a sweatshirt repping Minnehaha Academy, a private school in Minnesota (TWINCITIES.com, 2/4). Meanwhile, actor DAX SHEPARD was on the sideline before the Super Bowl taking selfies (BOSTONGLOBE.com, 2/4).

IT'S PARTY TIME: PRESIDENT TRUMP hosted his "traditional Super Bowl watch party" at Trump Int'l Golf Club in West Palm Beach that included live music outside by the FAU pep band. Trump "left the event as the second half was beginning, making the short trip" to Palm Beach Int'l Airport and boarding Air Force One at 9:00pm ET. A few hours before Sunday's kickoff, Trump "issued a statement honoring U.S. armed forces and alluding to the controversy over NFL players who knelt or raised a fist during the playing of the national anthem this season" (PALMBEACHPOST.com, 2/4).

NAMES: Texans DE J.J. WATT, who raised more than $37M in "just 19 days for those affected by Hurricane Harvey," won the '17 Walter Payton Man of the Year Award Saturday night. Watt beat out fellow finalists in Panthers TE GREG OLSEN and Ravens TE BENJAMIN WATSON (ESPN.com, 2/3)....Panthers LB LUKE KUECHLY on Saturday “won the Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award” (CHARLOTTE OBSERVER, 2/4)....The 17th annual Off The Field Players’ Wives Fashion Show took place on Friday at Edina Galleria’s Design Within Reach. The “mostly female crowd of several hundred” featured about 40 wives of coaches and current and former NFLers (Minneapolis STAR TRIBUNE, 2/3).
