Former NFL Player Kacyvenski To Run Day-To-Day Ops Of Blue Star Innovation Partners

Former NFLer ISAIAH KACYVENSKI has joined the JERRY JONES-backed Blue Star Innovation Partners as Managing Partner, putting him in charge of the day-to-day operations of the new venture capital fund. Blue Star Innovation was founded last year by ROB WECHSLER, founder of tech provider Blue Star Sports, and includes Jerry Jones, STEPHEN JONES, CHARLOTTE JONES ANDERSON, JERRY JONES JR. and Cowboys Exec VP/Business Operations CHAD ESTIS. Based at Cowboys HQ in Frisco, the fund wants to invest in early-stage companies in sports, tech, entertainment or health/wellness with the potential to serve a global market. Kacyvenski, who played seven seasons with the Seahawks and Rams before attending Harvard Business School, previously was Managing Dir of the iSports Innovation Lab in Boston. “This is something I’ve been working toward for a long time,” he said. “I started investing as a player, and even during my transition from being a player to Harvard Business School, I wanted to get into the investing side that’s more institutional."
