Audience Analysis: UFC-Fox December Card Is Lower; Las Vegas Bowl Up From '16

UFC on Fox 26 aired last Saturday, with Rafael dos Anjos’ win over Robbie Lawler drawing 2.1 million viewers in primetime. That figure is down from the mid-December fight card last year, which was headlined by Paige VanZant and Michelle Waterson. Fox two years ago saw a card headlines by dos Anjos-Donald Cerrone average 2.8 million viewers.

AFTER PARTIES: Boise State’s win over Oregon in the Las Vegas Bowl on Saturday afternoon drew 3.8 million viewers on ABC, up from 3.7 million viewers in the same slot last year for Houston-San Diego State. The game in ’15 drew 3.7 million viewers for Utah-BYU. Earlier in the afternoon on Saturday, ABC averaged 2.4 million viewers for Grambling-North Carolina A&T in the Air Force Reserve Celebration Bowl. That figure is down from 2.7 million viewers for Grambling-North Carolina Central last year.
