Marketplace Roundup

ADWEEK's Tim Nudd noted Colle+McVoy, Minneapolis, recently "made some billboards" for Associated Bank’s Packers checking program, showing photos of WRs Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb. The ads were "outfitted with fog machines, to mimic the look of players exiting the tunnel into Lambeau Field." There is just "one problem." Motorists are "worried the ads are on fire, so they’re calling law enforcement." County dispatchers have "received 'dozens of calls' erroneously reporting that the signs are burning." Six of the boards are in Green Bay and Milwaukee and "will be up until the end of the season" (ADWEEK.com, 10/30).

GIVEN TO FLY: Airbus announced that it will be sponsoring a new "League of Legends" team named "Out of the Blue." ESPORTS OBSERVER's Patrick Garren notes Airbus' entry into esports could "signal the beginning of a trend for airline companies moving into the space." Earlier this year esports tournament organizer ESL "partnered with Emirates Airline for on-demand esports content" (ESPORTSOBSERVER.com, 10/31).

OFF HE GOES
