MLB Sponsors Putting Final Touches On Activation Plans During World Series

MLB’s corporate sponsors are finalizing activation plans for the World Series. Tonight’s Game 1 at Dodger Stadium sees World Series presenting sponsor YouTube TV underwriting the gate premium of branded cell phone “wallets." YouTube TV also has put a World Series link on Google's home page. Chevy for the 12th straight year will present the World Series MVP with a new vehicle, while Coca-Cola will create custom World Series champion cans. MasterCard, an MLB corporate sponsor since '97, will again back a “Stand Up to Cancer” moment during Game 4, this year adding an augmented reality element. T-Mobile’s  #HR4HR promo is donating $10,000 toward hurricane relief for every home run hit this postseason. “It was only about 10 days before the start of the postseason, but we all wanted to use our biggest platforms for hurricane relief,’’ said T-Mobile VP/Sponsorships & Events Meredith Starkey. “It's the first time we’ve gone completely cause-related with one of our biggest platforms.’’ Taco Bell is back for the sixth time with its popular “Steal a Base, Steal a Taco’’ promotion. Corporate sponsors with buys on Fox' World Series telecast include Chevy, T-Mobile, MasterCard, Bank of America, YouTube TV, Coca-Cola and W.B. Mason.
