Gimme Fuel, Gimme Fire: Dallas Overwatch League Team Settles On Name

The Dallas Overwatch League franchise will be known as the Dallas Fuel and will use a blue, black and gray color scheme, team execs announced today. The franchise is owned by Team Envy, one of the best-known brands in esports, but Overwatch publisher Activision Blizzard is requiring its league members to build league-specific identities. The Fuel’s theme is designed to incorporate Envy’s historical roots (it is casually known by fans as “the boys in blue”). The theming also connects with the team's new Texas home and the background of its capital partner, Hersh Interactive Group, controlled by energy industry exec and financier Ken Hersh. Overwatch League play will begin with exhibition matches in December and season play in January. Dallas is one of 12 charter franchises sold.
