John Bowlen Believes Sale Of Stake In Broncos Will Generate High Price

John Bowlen said that he is looking to sell his minority interest in the Broncos because he "feels it’s a good time to do so and that it’s a personal decision for his family," according to Nicki Jhabvala of the DENVER POST. Bowlen, the younger brother of Broncos Owner Pat Bowlen, said, "The price is going to be good and we seem to have some interest." John Bowlen "reiterated that there is no animosity toward the Broncos or discord with the team." He said he is “quite pleased” with the job Broncos President & CEO Joe Ellis and General Counsel & Exec VP Rich Slivka have done running the Broncos as two of the three trustees. Bowlen’s decision to sell his interest will "not affect Pat Bowlen’s succession plan; his majority interest is still intended to be passed to his children" (DENVER POST, 10/3).
