NFL Franchise Notes: Eagles Hand Reins Back To Howie Roseman After Chip Kelly Era

In Philadelphia, Bob Ford notes Eagles Owner Jeffrey Lurie "has replaced one unbalanced organizational system with another" with Exec VP/Football Operations Howie Roseman "regaining all the power he lost in the previous three seasons and adding some, to boot." Roseman now "runs the team and there is no other way to express it." Among other NFL GMs, "very few operate with the power held now by Roseman." He could turn out to be next Ozzie Newsome or John Elway and "deserves the high seat he's been given." That is a "ways off, though, and, in the meantime, his vision won't be balanced by a head coach with a track record for solid personnel decisions" (PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER, 9/8).

DAK ATTACK
: In Dallas, Adam Grosbard notes Cowboys QB Tony Romo's injury has done "little to damper the enthusiasm of fans heading into the season if secondary ticket markets are to be believed." Since the news that Romo would "miss a significant chunk of the season broke on Aug. 27, fans have paid on average $224 for a ticket to the Cowboys this season on SeatGeek.com." This is "down about" 5% from the $236 average fans paid before Romo's injury. Similarly, the median listing price for the Cowboys' season opener Sunday against the Giants on SeatGeek have "gone from $337 to $327," approximately a 3% drop (DALLAS MORNING NEWS, 9/8).

GET HOME SAFELY: The Colts are "teaming up with Uber and the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute to support responsible rides on game day." A special drop off and pickup area will be "available in the designated Uber lot" near Lucas Oil Stadium. Colts fans "can request rides via the Uber app," and those new to Uber will "get their first ride free (up to $15) by entering" a promo code (INDIANAPOLIS STAR, 9/8).
