USA Hockey Extends Contract Of Exec Dir Dave Ogrean Through '18

USA Hockey renewed the contract of Exec Dir DAVE OGREAN, who signed a four-year extension that will keep him in his position through '18. Ogrean, who is also a member of the USOC BOD, joined USA Hockey in '05. During his eight years of leadership, the organization’s total revenue rose 45% from $24.4M to $35.4M. USA Hockey President RON DEGREGORIO in a statement said, “His leadership has been a significant factor in the continued progress we’ve made overall, and we’re fortunate to have him guiding USA Hockey.” Ogrean played a critical role in forging a partnership with the NHL three years ago that sees the league contribute $8M annually to the USA Hockey Foundation, which supports national hockey programs and initiatives. He also led the creation of the American Development Model, an initiative to assist hockey associations with the development of young players. USA Hockey’s player membership has grown from 442,077 in '05 to 510,279 today.
