Texans RB Arian Foster Signs With WME For Representation In Entertainment Business

Texans RB Arian Foster has hired agency William Morris Endeavor to represent him "across all areas of entertainment, including film, television, literature, music, digital media and endorsements," according to Liz Mullen of SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL. Foster is currently represented by Priority Sports & Entertainment agent Mike McCartney "for contract work." WME met Foster "through the filming of 'Draft Day,' an Ivan Reitman-directed film in which Foster plays Ray Jennings," a running back who is drafted by the Browns. Over the summer, WME has "negotiated multiple national endorsement deals, and Foster is slated to appear in more than one national commercial." Foster has endorsements with Under Armour, Kroger and Fuse Science (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 8/12 issue). The HOLLYWOOD REPORTER's Rebecca Sun noted Foster "appeared as himself on CBS' 'Hawaii Five-0' earlier this year." WME will "help Foster explore opportunities in marketing and brand building." The agency also will "support Foster in his philanthropic causes, which include combating childhood obesity and promoting financial literacy, as well as partnerships with The Children’s Hospital and the Boys & Girls Club" (HOLLYWOODREPORTER.com, 8/12). WME's signing of Foster comes on the heels of the agency signing Lakers G Steve Nash last month (THE DAILY).
