PepsiCo Appoints Adam Harter U.S. Sports Chief As Part Of Marketing Reshuffle
ADAM HARTER is PepsiCo's new U.S. sports chief, the latest move in a marketing reshuffle at the beverage and snack food giant. While his precise title could not be learned, sources said that Harter, a PepsiCo marketer for more than a decade, has been elevated to a new VP-level job. In Harter's new position, the current directors of media and multicultural marketing, along with PepsiCo Dir of Sports Marketing MARK ROOKS, will report to him. In turn, Harter will report to SIMON LOWDEN, who recently moved to CMO of PepsiCo Beverages from a post at Pepsi International. Harter worked on the Sierra Mist brand at Pepsi and ran the company's NASCAR program under former sports chief JOHN GALLOWAY. Harter's new job continues a two-month marketing merry-go-round at Pepsi. On the sports side, VP JEFF DUBIEL left the company in June, while Gatorade Senior VP/Sports Marketing JENNIFER STORMS recently was shifted to PepsiCo Beverages America Senior VP/Global Sports Marketing. At top marketing levels, JILL BARAUD, the former Pepsi Beverages America CMO, left last month, while BRAD JAKEMAN, was named Pepsi's President of Global Enjoyment & Chief Creative Officer.
