NBCUniversal Execs Explain To Employees How It Retained Rights To Olympics
NBCUniversal's top execs last week held a town hall meeting at 30 Rockefeller Center to tell the entire company about how it retained the Olympic TV rights. The meeting was led by CEO Steve Burke, NBC Sports Group Chair Mark Lazarus and NBC Olympics President Gary Zenkel. Broadcaster Bob Costas also participated. It was broadcast on a closed-circuit system to the entire company. The execs talked about how they developed their presentation for the IOC and then went through it for staff. They also went through the chronology of hearing from the IOC about their bid, meeting with IOC leaders and finalizing terms of the agreement.
