USA Gymnastics, AEG Pair For Tour Following Next Two Summer Olympics

USA Gymnastics and AEG Facilities have formed a partnership to stage a '12 and '16 tour after the London and Rio Games. The 10-week tours will visit 40 cities between September and November. Olympic Gold Medalist Nastia Liukin has signed on as a spokesperson and also will participate in the tour. It is the first partnership between USA Gymnastics and AEG and will be the first time USA Gymnastics has played a role in organizing and promoting a tour since '04. "We believe this partnership is a huge step forward for the tour," said USA Gymnastics President Steve Penny. "We've never had a partnership with a company that has the global power and resources of AEG." Penny said USA Gymnastics and AEG may consider taking the events to international AEG venues in China and Europe, as well.
