KRAFT GROUP INTERESTED IN MLS EXPANSION TEAM IN ATLANTA

          MLS Commissioner Don Garber and two league execs met in
     Atlanta last week with officials from Atlanta Soccer
     Village, the group "proposing a $100 million soccer complex
     designed to lure an MLS expansion franchise" to the city,
     according to Wendy Parker of the ATLANTA CONSTITUTION.  But
     Parker writes that the league is still "not prepared to
     commit" a team to the city, as Village organizers "are
     nowhere near ready to reveal how they plan to fund the
     stadium."  But Atlanta "is still on the league's list of
     expansion cities," and the Kraft Soccer Group, which
     operates the Revolution and Earthquakes, "reportedly has
     taken an interest in investing" (ATL. CONSTITUTION, 3/23).
