KRAFT DENIES REPORT THAT HE MAY MOVE PATS TO CLEVELAND

Responding to a report in Wednesday's USA Today, Pats
Owner Robert Kraft said he has "no intention" of moving the
team, according to Tina Cassidy of the BOSTON GLOBE. Kraft
was quoted in Wednesday's newspaper as saying the team could
end up in Cleveland if he did not get a new stadium. Kraft
released a statement yesterday saying, "I have no intention
of moving the franchise out of New England. ... the only
possibility of the Patriots leaving the region is if I have
to sell the team in the event that we are unable to make the
franchise financially sound" (BOSTON GLOBE, 8/14).
