     Former Chiefs QB BILL KENNEY has dropped out of the race for
Missouri Governor.  Kenney will run for Lieutenant Governor
instead (ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH, 2/15)....STEFAN EDBERG will
spend part of his final year on the men's tour promoting the
Stefan Edberg Junior Tennis Foundation to support tennis in
Sweden (TENNIS, 3/96 issue)....BRYANT GUMBEL will serve as master
of ceremonies for the AAU James Sullivan Award at Walt Disney
Resort on March 4 (AAU).... Bronco SHANNON SHARPE issued a
release saying, contrary to previous reports, his representation
is still being handled by TANK BLACK (Broncos)....HarperCollins
will publish MONICA SELES' autobiography in June (N.Y. POST,
2/15).
