SEAHAWKS SAY NOW IT'S OUR TURN

A task force has been set up in Seattle to "review the
future of the Seahawks and the Kingdome," according to Angelo
Bruscas in today's SEATTLE POST-INTELLIGENCER. The Seahawks have
detailed $150M in renovations they seek for the Kingdome, of
which the team will pay $25M. Team officials have reportedly
"put the county on notice" they would consider the Kingdome lease
"broken" if the plan is not accepted. Bruscas reports that
Seahawks officials note that a "more favorable terms" clause in
their Kingdome lease binds the county to "make concessions" to
the team if it changes or extends the Mariners lease "for any
period beyond its expiration year of 1996." King County Exec
Gary Locke: "It seems like this stadium issue will be with us
for many years" (SEATTLE POST-INTELLIGENCER, 10/26).
