EXECUTIVE TRANSACTIONS

     JOHN COVARRUBIAS, BRYAN DEIERLING and DAVID SEVERSON have
been hired as Advertising Sales Managers for Disney Sports
Enterprises, Inc (DSE).  Their work will focus on television,
radio, in-arena signage, print advertising and regional and
promotional rights for the Mighty Ducks (DSE)....JOSE PANEDA has
been promoted to Director of Marketing and Community Affairs for
the Heat (Heat).... Maryland Baseball Limited Partnership has
named JOE PRESEREN GM of the Carolina League Frederick Keys
(Keys)....DOUG SINGLE, who has been hired as GM of the '98 Nike
World Master Games in Portland, is profiled by the Portland
OREGONIAN.  Single, former President of Special Olympics Int'l
and AD at Northwestern and SMU, will seek to convince "corporate
Portland" to back the games, with organizers needing $7M in cash
and "at least that much in 'in-kind' goods and services" (Jeff
